shift lock vs DTS

since a couple of weeks I have a new rib with DTS steering and control from mercury - love the system but it surprised me there is no shift lock on the lever

very dangerous with kids on the boat who are running around...

i have this system on the picture
any idea what the arrows and select button mean?

Hi

Which engine have you got and do you have the Smartcraft vessel viewer?

you just have to remember that when you are moored up you have to switch off the engine and at all times keep the kids away from the controls

We have the same set-up on one of the charter boats I work on. The throttle is in the middle of the two front seats and can easily be knocked when the customers are swapping seats etc. I've got into the habit of pressing the throttle only button every time we stop.
