Simrad 7" NSS v Lowrance HDS 5

Hello All

I have been offered both the above on my new Brig 610. They will both be working with the Sonichub. The Simrad will be slightly more expensive. Any pro's or con's on either??

Thanks in advance

This time size does matter: a 6.4" screen is easier to work with than a 5".

I like the menu of the Lowrance, but that's personal. View angle and screen quality of the Simrad seems to be a bit better as well.

Thank you for the replies so far. The bigger screen does attract me more, and the simrad does get very good reviews, but would be nice to hear first hand.

Why not the Lowrance 7 than?
Take the Gen2 version and not the elite.
The Gen 2 has NMEA 2K wihich is nice to connect a AIS or enginedata...
