Smart clocks

Hi could anyone help ?? I took of a 06 mercury 90 of my rib and replaced it with a 200 optimax year 2001 the boat had smart clocks all ready fitted and the engine says smart craft but can't find the plug on the engine that the smart gauges go into any help would be grateful there is a lot of confusion on the internet about this? Thanks mike also the new loom has 8 pin plug compared to the 14 pin plug that came off it can you also get a converter ??

Yes you should be able to use your smartcraft gauges with the year 2000 optimax. I have a 150hp optimax year 2000 and it works with the smartcraft gauges, I will get some photos of how mine is hooked up this week hopefully when I go to the boat

Thank you any info it would be great was your lead from your throttle to your engine 8 pin, and the plug of the smart gauge in the engine any info were it goes would be brill as I can't see any were for it to go !! Best regards mike

Thanks my mercury is on holidays for two weeks so no progress so any photos would be grateful it's were it plugs into the engine is the prob for me ?? Best regards mike!!
