Standard Horizon CP180 Plotter..

Hi all. Can anybody give me any heads up on this plotter please? ive got a SH gx1600 vhf and looking at pairing up a chartplotter to it. I was looking at the lowrance elite 5 but im not sure it pairs up to my radio. Opinions would be appreciated please on a suitable plotter to work with my radio on a budget up to £400 for the plotter. First year on building up my first RIB to sea worthy standards having pottered around on local rivers all my life!
Im going to do the DSC course as soon as too!
Thankyou, Darren

Hi, we have these on a couple of the boats.... They are literally just a plotter, and do that just fine.... Simple to use, but considered pretty 'old school' now.... The other thing to consider is that as of Nov last year (iirc) Yaesu / Standard Horizon stopped making plotters... You'd still have support, but will eventually be obsolete. If you're on a budget and just want a plotter with free cartography I'd have a look at the 7 inch Onwa offering.... Do a search on here for Onwa for back story etc... For less than £400 it's got a large screen and cartography.... Very pleased indeed with our 12 inch version.
