I invested in one if these and have to say its a nice bit of kit. The GPS works very well considering it basic. System is very easy to use.

Floats, flashes etc.

Nice clear audio.

Not the smallest but comfortable.

Battery life is good with gps on. Excellent with it switched off.

Just thought I would share.

Recently got one of these too and very pleased with it so far, though not yet used in earnest.

I downloaded the YCE03 programming software from the Standard Horizon website to set it up via the laptop, makes life easier especially editing channel name tags and programming the directory:

I notice there's also a firmware update 1.13 - mine has 1.11. Have you installed the update? I'm trying to find out what the differences are between the versions and also double-check that the firmware is ok for the E version.

No I haven't ventured into it yet.

Still just getting to grips with the handset...it does a helluva lot!
