Tank level sensor

Had a few gauge issues at Easdale losing trim gauge and fuel gauge at same time on fairly rough passage . Traced it back to the instument fuse and replaced to reinstate trim sensor ,however never sorted fuel level gauge ...........so after trying new gauge ,no fix so reckon the tank level sensor has packed up .
Question is has anybody changed a fuel level sensor on a ribcraft 5.3 m or other with the standard 90 litre tank ,think its 0 to 190 ohm but
HOW Long ??
How do you get it out ,cant see the bolts on the top so not sure how its held in

Any help /guidance appreciated thanks

funny you should mention this. My 2020 RC 5.3 with 90 Suzuki has the most useless fuel gauge - i never know how much is left, except when its full. For example, finished late Oct 2021 with gauge showing fuel was between 1/4 and empty. Filled it up at start of season (early May 2022) and it took only 28 litres into the 90 litre tank. Have wondered how I get at the level float / switch to recalibrate

You can’t is the simple answer. Float type fuel senders on bouncing RIBs are worse than useless. The only way to get meaningful fuel info is to use the fuel flow data either from the engine or an inline fuel flow meter. The former being the more accurate.

The Wema sensor in my tank is threaded, and it screws into a flange that’s sealed into the tank. Tried just unwinding it?

Thanks Fergus ,thats what i wanted to be sure of before i started with the grips , now i know for sure i will soon discover the length i suaspect ,thankyou

On the other discussion of how poor the readings are ,then yes i agree however imho useless is not true ,as its always reasuring just to se the needle slopping about.

I have the nmea 2000 engine link and data in place but that does allow the possibility of old mans error ,(ie forgetting to add fuel but worse adding it twice ) which i have done ,and run out .

Here is picture i tried to upload earlier ,this is my fuel gauge in top left and as you may note fuel flow in centre of rev counter (engine at rest at the time )
This is nmea data ,totally un reliant on fuel sender !

I have become accustomed to completely ignoring fuel gauges now as I still have not figured out how the Ribcraft gauge calculates fuel level
