Tini tach installation

Hi guys I'm trying to get my tini tach to read on my zapcat. Followed the instructions but just can't get a reading. Any ideas I feel like and idiot it's supposed to be fool proof.
It's set to 1 spark per revolution and it's earthed. The only variable is how I wrap the red wire around the ignition lead but can't get any readings out of it.

try it on another engine and see what happens they are Chinese sometimes they can be a hit and a miss whether they work or not

Mine wasn't the tini tack forget the make same as fenlander I had to wrap the red wire 6 times to get the correct tick over revs.

It's official tini tach so far I know. I have a 4 hp 4 stroke I'll stick it on that see if it ticks.
