Tiny Tach - any good?

Trying to see what revs my DT55 is generating and struggling to get a cheap rev counter for it, dont seem to be many listed on eBay and a new one is £80. I bought a Yamaha one for £20 but cant get it to work on my engine .

I have noticed the tiny tach at £50 and thought I might take a punt on it - has anyone any experiance of them, good or bad?

Also if anyone had a used 6P analogue guage I'll take it off your hands!

Cheers

I have the same thing fitted to my 25hp mariner. I only use it to watch the hours of the engine though as it is fitted under the cowl

Hold on a minute! You've already spent 20 quid on a dud & now considering spending another 50 on something that might or might not work, but you' re balking at spending 80 on the proper jobby...........buy cheap, buy twice or even thrice

the £20 one was just the wrong one for my engine so should sell again for what I paid for it roughly and the one I bought was only £10 not £50 but I cant argue with your logic!

If it's any help I've got a genuine Suzy one which I have been toying with replacing with a tach / hour meter for a while (and soon would be a good time to do it considering the engine has only done about 12 hrs since rebuild)

PM me with a half sensible offer & it'll bring my combo gauge purchase into a price bracket I'd want to pay!

I have a bad pic of it (obscured by the wheel) on the memmory stick here if you want to see what style it is. Can't get a decent pic before Thurs.

Looks good, tried the £10 HK one (arrived Sat morning) and its so so, hard to know if its any good but will compare it with an actual tacho when I get one and report back if its worth the £10!

TinyTach = great piece of kit.
Did a custom order and they guys were very helpful and quick.
Shows a great level of detail when you think you have a issue with HT/ Sparks.
would recommend highly.
