Tracker

I've just bought a GSM GPS Relay Tracker and it's brilliant.

20 quid and a giff gaff PAYG sim card gives real time updates of location, geofencing, movement alarms, position record & playback. Whilst looking exactly like a conventional automotive relay.

Anyway, bought mine for a car, but thought could be interesting for Ribbers too.

I had trouble in the past with cheap Chinese trackers such as a (genuine! Xexun) TK102/3 devices and in the end have nothing but praise for Rewire Security whose device worked flawlessly and through steel car bodywork and was cheap to run with an excellent tracking website. Another advantage is that Rewire use the strongest network available no matter who the provider. Sim-free and waterproof.

Cool idea this one is disguised, but does it work through steel? I'm sticking with Rewire for now.

Agreed, would be very interested to know how it works in real life - have you already installed in the car?

I’ve looked at these & they’re interesting. You can get them on Wish for around £8. I’m interested to see how it pans out. Is there an app or is it all done via text messages & Google maps?

I’ve two of the tk102 both have worked really well so far. One has been in the boat for three years now.

Text it to ask where it is replys with lat and long and a link to open google maps

Lot of functionality but I cut all the lead’s bar power gps and phone. You can set a move alarm remotely and get a text if it moves. Added bonus it will text if the battery gets low.

More or less zero power drain as it wakes up when there is movement etc
