VHF for the PC

When I was working on a commercial contract a few years back, the customer had a VHF Card in the PC for a base station, with some flash software for recording etc.

Anyone seen this or know where I can get the PC Card from?

Jono

Waters and Stanton in Hockley Essex would be able to point you in the right direction Jono.

There are some radio products on the market that have built in recorders these days, mainlyy in the avionics and Ham radio sector though.

Recording and PC Card

Just search around on places like ebay and google!

I believe that Icom do PC based recievers.

Not sure if you are legaly aloud to record vhf transmitions, unless you are given legal premission from Ofcom. I also think that you would have to be an authoised organisation to record vhf transmitions.

As previouslt stated I'm not totaly sure about the recording asspect of VHF Marine Transmittion. The information previously stated was all based on information gathered from websites on the World Wide Web.

This was a interisting post that you posted, thank youo for it.
