What Antenna??

Ok we've specking the "E" equipment for the new boat, what antenna do forumites recommend? for our ICOM (Jon's happy) to feed into. It will be "A" frame mounted.

Brian

PS wher's the best deal available on you recommended one?

We have a Vitronix aerial on the A-frame. It's one of the newer type ones with a plastic covering on the lower half to dampen vibrations. Allegedly the older type (without the covering) used to suffer from fatigue failures at the base. Ours has been on the boat for over 12 months now.

Andre and Mike C make very clear transmissions - I would make a recommendation of whatever aerial they use!
