Standard Horizon for me too (751 non DSC). From previous discussions when I was looking as usual it always came down to Icom or SH and whichever flats your boat. For me the SH has been superb and built like a brick.

icom m91d is what I recommend - I have both training model and live model - easy to use and same interface as the icom m423 and 323 radios.

downside they are around £250 plus side I sell them and I am a trade member lol http://store.sprmarine.co.uk

yes - looks great radio - trying to work out if the plus is worth the extra £'s - noise cancelling and recording is all I see different!

I use a Icom M71 as a back up to the fixed Icom MC 505, been bomb proof so far, got a touch damp a few times but it just does what it says on the tin

SX851 +1 ..

if you remember the beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep ...all the way round Anglesey .......that's the icom version saying its wet....

either the icom or SH with DSC has to be the way forward....

I used to be an icom person but do think SH have caught up and overtaken icom in the last few years value wise.
