Where to buy Furuno Radar

My Furuno 1622 radar antenna has given up the ghost, partly my fault , and I need to replace it.

I'm a little out of touch with where's cheap so would appreciate any advice.

I suspect I will need to buy a complete unit ( antenna and display ) so either a replacement 1622 or even a 1623 would be fine.

Not the sort of Christma present I want to buy myself

I over tightened the bolts that held the top ( white ) cover on. During rather a choppy channel crossing they sheared off and the white cover fell off.

Luckily, or so I thought, my white nav light is attached to the radar cover and therefore attached by wire, so it was flapping around.

Stopped the boat and put it back on. Salt water got into the PCB's and motor it is now dead.

Best stick to IT, I guess!

Have it repaired, should not be a problem for any Furuno Agent to sort, even if it's BER they should not charge you for a quick look if you purchase the replacement, we do this in Cornwall and I am sure that most agents are the same. Expect to pay around £1000 inc. VAT. Price goes up £100 Jan.
