Where to get VHF ANTENNA ?

I have an ICOM IC M402S on my rib on the A-Frame.
Connected to a Silva Star Antenna, VHF 156-163mHZ. Lot 13 .919. 28049.

My antenna has broken and just need to replace the antenna.Cable,mounting and everything is ok. Is it possible without messing and having to feed through and replace cable to connect a new antenna to the original antenna base and cable? Just thread or screw on the new antenna.

Does anyone know where to get the silva star antenna or something that will fit my old one ?

Silva antennas were made for them by Banten (Italy). These antennas are aslo distributed by XM Yachting and Bainbridge Marine. Your local chandler should be able to match it from either of these catalogues.

I got my GAM antenna SS-2 from www.defender.com. It is the only 6 db gain antenna in a 36" or 1 meter option. All others are 3 db.
