Which GPS

Don't think I will make the boat show to compare models, so any feed back would be appreciated.
Looking to spend approx £800 on colour gps.
Have looked at Garmin and Raymarine (previous post), are there any other makes that I should consider.

Must be colour and have a large screen.
Operating system not an issue.
What do you recommend ?

I looked around at the boatshow yesterday for a fishfinder/plotter/fuel computer and the way I am feeling now,it will be a garmin 188c and a navman 3100.The tracker 6600 navman was too expensive, and the garmin displays were crisp,I wanted as few instruments as poss but couldnt find anything £800 or below to do all three.I am slightly biased though as I have a blue chart of the south coast already.
I did look at other makes and nothing jumped out at me but to be honest I didnt really have time for an in depth analysis.
I wont be buying iminently though.

Have nothing but praise for the Lowrance 330C. Why do you need a fuel computer? I find the fearures in the Smartcraft gauges plenty enough - plus some mental arithmetic

Happy as a pig in poo with my Garmin 178c!

However for £800 you should be able to get a larger screen if you so desired. I've heard good reports about NavMan and for that sort of money you could get a Raymarine C-70 for around that!?!?

Nice work if you can get it...........toy shopping that is!!
