Xenon Strobe Bulb
Anyone have any idea where I can order a 5001 Xenon strobe bulb. Struggling at the moment to find a replacement.
Cheers Nick R.

Gotta be a UK supplier somewhere.
Apparently, these bulbs are used in a lot of 4-way applications (lights on police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, etc.)
Sure don't seem to be a lot of suppliers, though.

http://www.premierhazard.co.uk/downl...06Cat_full.pdf - page 17 seems to list something that looks appropriate - but this was merely from a quick google ...

What's it off? I thought I had a blown bulb on my "Renault bag of shit mk2" but apparently they last "forever" what had actual gone was the ballast which boosts the voltage from 12v to 80v

The ballasts also cost a lot of money!

Fred and Alt,
Cheers for your replies. I,m beginning to think its not the bulb thats at fault. Therefore its beyond repair and probably all going in the bin when I find something to replace it.

I'm guessing you only have a single unit setup? Because if you have 2 units, just swap over the bulb - You'll soon know if it's the bulb or not
(Sorry if i'm being overobvious)

Alt,
All help appreciated. Unfortunately its only a single unit setup. Looks like a complete new one is in order, probably cheaper than getting the bulb. Not too bad a price from the US. I'm just waiting for a postage cost.
Funny old world where a complete unit is only a little more than one of its component parts.
