Extra trim leads ? Or to allow guage to show trim setting? Or they need connecting to somewhere so trim switch on controls work

should be another loom going to the engine for the trim if my memory serves me, I should have the manual somewhere if you get stuck

The lead I sent you isn't compatible with that box, if memory serves me right that's a later unit.

The wiring colours are slightly different in the later boxes but that's definitely trim wires.

Itl run the engine no bother but you will probably need to jig the wiring for the trim, I'm sure I've had this problem before.

Don't worry about the lead.

Get a picture of the back of the gauge and il see if it starts the brain going.

You are going to need another trim harness regardless. What's the engine again?

If I'm honest you would be better off getting a new gauge, iirc the newer ones don't do oil level.

There is 2 leads that run from engine that have the plug connectors that connect to guage, what model of new trim display and leads do I need, I'm complete novice and it's big learning curve

The wires you have, red green blue are for the trim switch and trim motor, you will need to make this loom up or buy one, you will need this irregardless of what you plug into the gauge, if you have a trim switch on the motor this will tell you if that clock is working, the wires are totally separate from all the electronics, I'm still guessing but I've had another cuppa so I think I'm right

That's what I'm saying, this loom has nothing to do with the tacho all it does is work the trim motor, there is a sensor on the engine that goes through the main loom that works the gauge

The red green yellow black are for your gauges the other red blue green is trim, my advice to you is don't go buying loads more bits until you've worked out what you have already, we have an older engine with newer gauges and wiring loom here, just a bit of fiddling about sorted it
