Q What are these "green blobs" I keep reading about?
A For a while we had a "User reputation" system running where members could give positive or negative points to other people's posts. These accumulated as a "Credibility rating" for each member, symbolised by green dots (or "greenies") shown under their name for positive scores, or red blobs for negative scores.
After a while it was abandoned, as it didn't seem to really be adding much to the forums and was open to a certain amount of abuse!
