Online VHF courses January 2014

New VHF course comes in to place January 2014
So along with PPR Essential Navigation and Seamanship Dayskipper and Yachtmaster Navigation I am going to offer VHF online as well.
A great way to learn and help, and advice online or a phone call away from an experienced instructor. You will have 18 months to complete the course before taking your exams study time is approximately 10 hours or more depending on how you get on .

Tim,

I don't need the course - but I think for this course on-line learning could be a much better way to cover a large part of the theory / background stuff. Out of interest (and for the benefit of others who might want the course) if you sit it online does the exam need to be sat at Griffin Marine on the IoW - or could it be taken at any RYA centre locally?

Regards,

If a recognised SRC centre is running a scheduled exam then not a problem the exam fee set by the RYA £60 is the same where ever you take it.
The centre may want to charge something if it's not a scheduled exam as they RYA pay the examiner not the centre.
