SEA SURVIVAL TRAINING
We regularly run the RYA Sea Survival course from Bitterne Park in Southampton. The course is aimed at powerboaters and sailors, leisure boaters and commercial operators alike.
The course includes a 2-hour pool session on survival techniques and life raft use. We also include an outdoor practical flare session where each student fires a real flare.
The theme throughout the day is to prepare you for what to do if all goes wrong and you have to abandon your vessel.
The RYA Sea Survival certificate is required by many employers, it is required for anyone seeking to obtain a commercial endorsement to their Level 2, Advanced Powerboat CoC or Yachtmaster Power Certificate of Competence and is accepted as 50% of the survival training for offshore yacht racing
