Try A Boat
We will have 4 boats on the stand this year each manned by one of our regular Instructors. We are only running 1 RIB this time and three sailing boats (a 1720, a J/80 and a J/111). Bookings will be handled by National Boat Shows, but essentially you can have a go on any of these 4 craft (or the other Try A Boat craft) free of charges
Sales / Advice Stand
We have moved across the hall slightly this year and had to sacrifice some stand size in order to get a corner spot. The stand will be manned all week by our full time staff. They are there to advise you on training, charter and sailing holidays.
Talks
Your's truly will be deliverying a few talks (aimed at raggies). The subject is "Heavy Weather sailing" and I will be speaking on 1st Sunday, Thursday, 2nd Saturday and 2nd Sunday. The short talk will cover some of the survival techniques yachtsmen employ in heavy weather.
Promotions
There will be a couple of boat show offers running. In particular we will be selling 100 RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses for £199 each. There will be a maximum of ten courses each day (ten day show) however I am happy to sell a few before the show. The deal is available both at the stand and on the phone. Payment is by debit card or cash. Course can be taken between now and end February.
