A question for Willard RIB owners, especially Canadian
I've received some questions from someone interested in buying an ex-Military RIB Willard SeaForce 730 jet I'm selling in regard to meeting certain regulations for that must be met to use the boat commercially in Canada.
The questioner says that any boat being used in a business has to have met "Construction Standards for Small Vessel TP1332" If it complies it will have a label on the boat somewhere with TP1332, and on the fuel tank there should be a label that is "ABYC" Standards for Small Craft H-33. Also, he must be sure the engine would pass Canadian emissions standards.
This boat was built under contract for the US Navy and has no labels on the hull or fuel tank as described, and I'm not familiar with the engine emission standards so even though the engine was just rebuilt I don't know if it would meet the standards.
Can anyone tell me if there is an alternate process in Canada for meeting these regulations, other than having the labels present on the boat? Any related information would be appreciated.
thanks.....
