After a favour from a USA resident...

As per my thread in engines, I want to try a 4 blade prop on my Suzuki DF9.9.

Problem is on the DF the water intake is in the bottom of the cav plate, so I don't know if the flushing muffs will fit with a 4 blade prop cos (I assume) the gaps between the blades is smaller.

I spoke to a UK supplier who wanted £86 for the prop, which is a bit steep only to find out I have to take the prop off to flush the ob. If it was cheaper, I'd risk it.

Hunting around the web I found a suitable prop on a USA website for $55 . Problem is, this supplier will only ship to USA addresses .

So (at last!) to the favour. Would anyone out there be prepared to let me ship the prop to their address, and then ship it on to me, either by me paying them or me paying a carrier direct to collect it.

Alternatively if if anyone else has any suggestions as to how I can get this or a similar prop into my sticky little UK mitts they'd be gratefully received.

Cheers

Chris

I would be happy to receive and forward your prop unless someone has a better alternative for direct shipment....just let me know when you've made a decision.

Hi Bryan,

Many thanks for the offer. I'm looking into a couple of options at the moment - I'll PM you once I've sort out what I am doing.

Thanks

Chris

Just be prepared to pay the tax once you get it into the UK. the shipping services (including the Royal Mail ) have been more aggressive lately on getting "their share". I sent some Bose headphones for my dads bithday and he ended up paying around 30pounds once they got to his end.
So get creative on listing the price and how you describe it
cheers Dal

My guess is that it is not worth the hassle. Shipping cost to a USA address + shipping cost to UK @ probably at least 30 pounds, plus Royal Mail costs.
I d'ont think it will work
