I saw one in the States a couple of years ago, looks like a Couger R8 and R10 design to me, with same consoles etc.

Yeh, they're Cougars. They can't use the Cougar name in the USA as someone else has it.

I wouldn't have a clue what they run like as I've never been lucky enough to have a ride in one. My ex boss had a Couger R8 rigged with a Honda 225, he loves it to bits and he's raced in the Honda 4 Stroke series so sould be qualified enough for an accurate description.

Think you should get a Sea trial in one,

The guys running the US operations are some good Offshore Racers. Quality seems good. I race monohulls here in the states looks like a nice boat. What kind of speeds with a 225? The one I am looking at has a Verado 300.
Thanks
Steve

The R8 is a great all round boat, the ride is good at both high and low speeds
Honda BF225 = 60mph
Verado 275 = 66-68mph
Verado 300 = 70mph

You should stop by the dealer for a test, you will find out these are true speeds.

I supplied one ealier this year with a Verado 275 (picture attached) it runs 66mph with full fuel and 4 people, it's owner told me the other day that its over 5mph quicker than his mates 8m that is fitted with a 300 Suzuki
