Any West Marine 350 rib owners?

My Dad is looking at one as a tender for a trawler yacht over in the US. Anyone got any opinions on them? It's not a boat I've ever seen over here.

No opinions on the boat, per se, as I've only seen them in the store and not on the water.

Not sure how it is in the UK, but the West Marine customer support in the US is at least pretty good, possibly really great, depending on who you talk to. Pricing is, IMO, fair to poor (expensive for what the product is. Then again, you do get the support, so...) I do not know anyone who owns a WM boat (they tend to sell more to the yacht crowd rather than people who want a standalone power boat.)

I believe (and I'll admit that I am not sure about this) the boats are Chinese made and rebranded. Not necessarily a bad thing, but some people are leery of Chinese quality. If you really want to know, I can probably get down to the local West Marine and check it out (though that may take a week or so.)

Cheers-that's enough really to know the customer support is good as it's less than a year old and hopefully comes with the yacht. It's a hypalon one, so should be good for a few years.
