Hole patched up by a local Rib shop. Paint came out great. Now ready for the bracket.

Theres a Yamaha/Merc dealer here near the Richmond Marina that works on a lot of high end ribs..hurricanes, protectors and some other expensive ones that I can never afford. They do excellent work on hypalon and fiberglass. I don't have the business contact but if anyone needs some work done just shoot me a PM and I can give you his cell.

I hope so! Some more parts just arrived so the project continues.... In the meantime, I saw this on CL and couldn't resist.

Motor test fitted. Steering ram clears and motor clears when trimmed up fully turned. Luckily I only had to cut once, that transom ate up a new sawzall blade quick. Motor started right up too. I had my fingers crossed because I bought it not knowing if it ran.

Nice and slow

New baby and work have me moving like a sloth on this project. I just finished the fiberglass work yesterday and will be painting it now. I left the lower portion of the engine cover in place and glassed in a splash well. Pics coming soon.

Thanks!

I still need to buff the hull, clean up the tubes and clean up the rigging but I finally got her in the water today. I am really happy with the transformation. Its now a lot faster and quieter. The cav plate was buried but it still hit 44mph at around 5600rpms. I will raise the motor and see if it picks up a bit more speed.

Took it out into the steep wind waves and got airborne a few times, no pounding or slapping. The splash well I made works good, punching it in reverse get a little splash over the transom but deck stays dry.
