Completed a Farallons trip today after raising the motor up two holes. 750+ lbs of humans, 25 gallons of gas, cooler full of cods and gear, it went 45mph. I think lightly loaded it will be closer to 50 mph, hopefully. I'll have to test it this weekend with just myself onboard.

These Hurricanes are monsters. This 630 is "just" a few feet longer than the srmn and sr6 but it rides completely different. Usually we have to have some discipline with the throttle when we head offshore in order to not get banged up but this Hurricane was going full Marshawn Lynch on the wind waves. Besides the extra length, the hull being two or three times as heavy probably helps a lot.

Awesome. Good conditions?

I've never been out there but read Devils Teeth and the place sounds gnarly.

We hit Catalina this weekend. Still amazed how well the SR5.4 goes.

Sweet you dusted off the 5.4! I'm going to have to do that trip soon.

It was calm out there. No wind. Perfect conditions to hang out and read a book.

Not sure on the exact numbers but it was less than 20 gallons for a 80 mile round trip, cruising at 40ish mph.

The new owner is a member here so maybe he can get some more accurate numbers up.
