Rogan is this month's centrefold...
Actually, since he's from Chicago, he'd be a centerfold...

I'm sure Rogan is a decent looking guy, but I'm dubious that a full page spead of him reclining seductively across his RIB with a 'come hither' look is going to produce record subscription sales for Boating World.
Then again, is he wearing that flourescent green thong we keep hearing about?

As you can tell, I'm going buggy with cabin fever while waiting for the spring thaw - which is still another 3 months away...

Rogan's a STAR!!
Rogan? wait a damn minute! Don't they KNOW he's that damn rabble rousing rib raider the Lake Michigan Coast guard is shadowing? Sneaking up on at night? Obviously he is a domestic terrorist in the making, how can he possibly be a centerfold in Boating World? Don't they know he wears a fluorescent green thong (allegedly) and terrorizes 3/4 of the boating community in Chicago? Next thing you know he'll be appearing on Oprah, or Jerry Springer...
Hey Rogan, somebody has to be the "wild child" on the North Merican' forum!

Damn, how'd you guys find out about my flourescent green thong! Thats for the ladies on those warm summer nights.
Anyways, Boating World ran a story on our trip to the Gulf of Mexico from Chicago. A couple nice shots and a great introduction. I'll post it as soon as they prep it for the web

Re:Boating World story
Congratulations on your newly found fame Rogan! Do make sure you post it up on this website for all us housebound wanna be boaters. I will pick up a copy of the magazine to check it out. Make sure you inform them (Boaters World) of your Great lakes travel plan by rib, you still are thinking about that trip no? If so mayhaps Myself, Stoo and some others could meet up when you reach Lake Erie or St. Clair for that matter?

What issue are we talking about here?
I'll grab a copy at, well... somewhere, I guess.
[Just realized that I have no idea who carries boating mags. Never read them. ]

It's in the Feb issue of Boating Magazine. Not sure if I pushed the story on rib.net. I've been planning our trip to New York this summer. We'll see what happens. If some sponsorship comes through from zodiac and some from Pro Pulse and others for fuel it could easily happen. But with school and internships it could be tough. Even if the trip doesn't happen we should try to organize a Great Lakes RIB gathering.

I'd be interested in making the drive to Tobermorey (ferry across from Manitoulin I.)

PT, the Ferry dumps you out right across the harbour from my swanky pad! You'll pass the liquor store as you drive over....

It is indeed a beautiful place with great wrecks, do a little diving... Wonder if the Van would make it up there pulling the War Machine?

The other benefit of a Canadian location is the American members here wouldn't need a need passports to come here (not so the other way )

Or just come by water! Tobermory doesn't actually have a Customs and Immigration office. I guess you call in... but it's a toll free number so who knows who's answering! They swing through town twice a year or so...
Pat, it's pretty flat the whole way... except climbing out of Wiarton!
