Cold & Wet!

Last year we had a wet May & June but wasn't too bad for temps. This year is really worst around here with frost warnings last week and even this week it dipped to 4c one morning. Worst part is it keeps raining and our water levels are having a hard time going down. Our boat launch here doesn't even have the docks out because of that. Farmers have worked the feilds but nothing is growing yet with wet cold soil.

This time of year I do a lot of installations in cabinetry as it's my trade but what a pain in the A**. Almost need a tent to set up my tools.

Rain or shine by next weekend I'm taking out my boat for a full days ride.

Yeah well not our typical weather here and finally today is clear blue sky type of day but a little on the cool side. Some channel markers are not even in yet due to high water levels and too much current. I'm hoping for a nice weekend next one to go out.

We had a wind-chill below zero here today~ I was in for a dive yesterday, but the wind came up to gale force by last night and it blew all day today! None of the charters ran due to waves...

I spent the day stacking firewood and cutting the grass...

Was supposed to be nice yesterday but we ended up with rain and wind late afternoon. Got up this morning and beautifull sky but 5c and after looking at the doppler radar I see heavy rain coming our way later this afternoon and into the evening. I still have my boat in a shelter so I can at least do work on it even if it rains.

U-s-a!

Well the weather down here is fantastic, nice and warm and sunny! Been on the boat everyday for the last week and a half, nothing like a harbor cruise and a ice cold Mt Gay, OJ and Pineapple Juice. Not to mention the Striped Bass are already here and biting. In the words of my fore fathers, God Bless America!

From what I know many areas in the US hasn't been that great so far this spring. Still some flooding to the point of boating not being possible in the mid west.

Haha... Not to worry jky... you can spot them coming with their hockey sticks...

Yesterday was the nicest day we have had here this year I think, hot and sunny, flat calm. A few tourists were swimming! (Surface = 63F, 12" down = 48F, 20' down = 39F). I managed a nice 178' dive with a flock of lake trout...

I'm sitting on my porch watching the rain go past sideways this AM and enjoying a nice breakfast rum...
