Could one of our US members do me a big favour please?

Could one of our US members do me a big favour please?
I've got a Coleman 424 dual fuel camping stove which recently started to leak quite badly.

It turns out that the valve stem packing has crumbled away (a $2.50 part from Coleman USA) and needs replacing-only nobody in the UK sells it and Coleman USA won't ship to the UK via their website.
Instead, the UK dealers want to charge me nearly £40 including postage for a complete new valve assembly.

If I paypal the money across, would it be possible for someone to get a couple of the parts I need (part no. 118D6201) ,have it delivered to their home address and post it over for me?

Cheers guys!

Hiya PH,
Mine's a multifuel one, but Coleman's literature neglected to say that if it's run on petrol rather than Coleman's own fuel (which turns out to be Naptha-easily available here) the additives/ethanol in regular pump gas will destroy the seals hence my current problem.
Thanks for the offer but I can get a whole generator over here easily enough. My generator is in near perfect condition bar the valve packing (the $2.50 seal behind the regulator knob) which has fallen apart hence being reluctant to buy an entire new generator. The whole stove is only 15 months old.

No,it's made of graphite and about 4mm across. It's a bit like a tiny plumber's olive.

Nos do you know you can get a new generator for £9.99???

I know it's annoying for such a small part but is it worth the hassle or were you quoted more?

Nos;

You have a part number or supplier in mind?

I can certainly mail it up to you, but I am not sure what you need.

I'm not sure if that generator is actually the right part-the problem is with the regulating valve.

JKY-thanks-I think Coleman are sending me the part free though following an email conversation last night!

Good deal. Nice to hear they actually respond (they're a pretty big company over here, and though I've never had reason to deal with them, I always wondered...)

Hi Nos,

I've just come up against this same problem - leaky 424 valve gland.

Have sent a message to Coleman in the States - fingers crossed!
