Court TV / Beach Patrol San Diego

A new program started last week on a monday night at 8.00pm on Court TV.
It's called Beach Patrol San Diego and features the Lifeguard service in rescue and assists in the Bays and offshore.
This week you may get a glimpse of "Bayshots" as I was on scene when they where filming 2 segments.

This week they bust a PWC user and his lady for BUI.
The lifeguard had already given the guy a warning for speeding in a slow zone an the guy just took off again at speed.

Yesterday the Lifeguards were presented with a new RBB ( $140,000's worth ) by Court TV ,as payment for the series. Hope to get some photos of that soon.

I think that show used to run on Outdoor Life Network (now called Versus) a while back (or at least a couple of episodes did.)

I'm still trying to figure out the chain of command between the lifeguards and the SD Police. Seems that the lifeguards have quite a bit of authority, but no arrest powers. Seems weird to me.

I'm assuming you meant RIB - what brand did they get?
