Glad we're on a hill...

After weeks of dry weather, we got soaked but good last night. So now my dead grass is dead grass in mud!

We've wanted to cross Georgian Bay to Killarney all week, but it's been blowing gales (In local terminology: "A Gagger"...) and T-storms most of the week. Tomorrow is finally looking clear and more calm, so will likely head out...

CG Radio has a number of reports of overdue vessels this morning. Why does someone head out in a 15' steel punt, with a 15HP, and single tank of fuel when it's blowing 25-30 knots with heavy rain and lightening???

Sorry my mistake: you need to Google " San Carlos Sonora" as there are about 1 dozen towns in MX that are called San carlos

Looks like a boaters paradise but a bit too hot for my liking. Reminds me a bit of the Southern end of the Red Sea!!!

It looks about as different to Yorkshire as you can possibly get..............

it can get a little warm Aug./ Sept. Today is 33C with 12mph wind. There is usually an afternoon breeze which makes things OK. In you Google pic. of the Marina ( one of two) there is a building to the East which is a block of 2 bedroom Condo's and you could buy one for about 100k of your super valuable Pounds.

Marina fees are a little pricy.; about 120 pounds a month for a 30ft pontoon.
However, if it is 3 mins. walk from your front door then that has some additional value.
Cheers, T

Even Swansea marina is a lot more than that - £1800 a year - I shudder to think how much the south coast marinas would charge.

Then again for a country like Mexico it does sound rather expensive - land prices and wages are a lot lower than here.

Here you go Cod. The following is an upscale house with it's own jetty.
