Fraser Richmond to Hope or Harrison any tips

Just thinking of a trip up the Fraser river to maybe Hope or Harrison lake. Probably camp along the way on the little islands that seem to be mostly sand and vegetation.

Anyone have any good tips. I think from Harrison river to Hope there are lots of sandbars. Anyone take a rib past hope?

There does not seem to be much on line about boating up the river.

Cheers Scott

I did take a small sib on the Fraser near Bulger Rd between Hope and Chilliwack. The Fraser River is continuously shifting sandbars from year to year. My only advice would be to use a jet drive or at the very least get some kind of prop guard and take it slow. Watch the ripples caused by underwater objects; the ripples will sometimes look like a "V" shape that points downstream. The point of the "V" generally indicates deeper water. Whether it is deep enough for a RIB remains to be determined. Travel with care and Happy Adventures!
