A pal of mine locally, has done a very pro job of fitting a Merc XS25 and a centre console to a Suzamar 3.4 (rated at 15hp). He's currently running sea trials and fine tuning the set-up. I reckon that it'll leave our SR4 for dead at around 33-35knts, until it gets lumpy.

150hp Optimax Pro XS on a 1999 Scorpion 6.5
About 42 knots on a good day, light and clean. 40 knots after a couple of weeks in the water.

We have a 6.5m Scorpion from 1999 with a 150hp. It's not the fastest 6.5m - although does feel like a "big" 6.5m. Deep V hull I guess isn't the best for speed but great at slicing through the chop.

20 ft with Yamaha 150hp - 41knts on 1st sea trial in slight chop, 2 up, engineer on test with me said has a little bit more left but then...
Since a Bimini installation plus 200 litres of fuel and 30 litres of water 38/39 is the limit.

With two people aboard the best I can get the 70 hp Yamaha, trimmed out pretty well is about 39 mph around 5200 RPM.
