Today, no kids, 50 l gasoline and reached 45,4 mph. If having the time trying to remove the anti fouling some day, then the target will be 47. At 45 pretty stable, only minor tendency to start chine walk but did not start yet. Lightly loaded the 19 inch is much better than 17 standard alu prop. Revs around 5400+ rpm(forgot to check at top speed).

There is also a minor hook in the bottom just before transom, sorting that out might further improve things a litle.

How much fuel did you have left from your full tank after you hit 48.3 kts?

Bill

PS I'm jealous.

Ha, not much burning 50 GPH. Haven't sold the Ribcraft, so I guess that's my economy RIB.

Me alone, 15 litres fuel - - shoots up to 51 then climbs steadily but chinewalking starts bang on 52 so I backed off. SOG and not 2 way average.

However with 2 weeks kit, tent, dinghy + engine, it still made 49 (Phil will verify ) however I think that was with the tide. With me and GD on board it struggled to get past 45 with a normal fuel load but loads of kit.
