Hydro Turf

I'm looking at the hydro turf material for wear patches on my Searider. RyanPratt recommends the stuff but he used a 2 part hypalon glue. I'm curious if anyone has used the self sticking 3M backing type ($40 extra for the large sheets). This would be a great, quick and easy way to add some protection.

I'm looking at the "molded diamond B stock" found near the bottom of this page. The person i contacted at HydroTurf didn't seem to have any complaints from anyone using the self adhesive backings but I'm wondering if hypalon would act differently or if the inflating/deflating may cause issue. I'm guessing the expanding and contracting of the tubes may require a stronger glue for best application.

The peel and stick tends to come loose with changes in tube pressure.
