Figured we'd beat traffic and parking woes by launching well away from the action. The world cup triathlon event was in San Diego (also US Olympic qualifier) this weekend and the girlfriend is a fan.

We were able to anchor 20m from one of the turn buoys (2 lap swim) for a picnic, then motored along parallel to part of the bike course, and finally anchored and waded in to watch the run. Winner was a kid named Jonathan Brownlee from the UK.

No decisions yet other that I plan on getting a swim step w/ dive ladder first. Shade will be second. Third will be radar. I figure that the swim step/ladder will add the most benefit. It's a pain to get back into right now when at anchor...just climb up the sterndrive!

Mulling over shade options:
1. T-top (standard looking)
2. bimini between a radar arch and console

Hoping also to be able to somehow store a board or two on top.

How come we have haven't seen any pictures of your sea trials????
