looking for new tubes

i am considering buy a project rib.

it is a hull with only a gas tank.
everything else is gone.

i am not really sure it is worth it.

anyone here build a rib from scratch?

any idea how much tubes would cost for a zodiac 420?
would i have to buy them directly from zodiac?

any and all advice greatly appreciated.

Have you had a look at this thread?

That's a 16' boat, so the tubes'll be a bit more, but it still sounds pricey.

Not too many custom tubers on this side of the pond, either.

Do you know the hull id, model and series numbers that are stamped on the capacity plate? Also, are the tubes removable? Zodiac 'Pro' RIBs use slide on tubes. We have a pattern for a Pro420 from a job we did a couple of years ago.
All of our tubes are made with hypalon and can be customized to your preferences. If you would like us to quote a price, please send me a PM or email me at manta@bellnet.ca

The tubes will run you about $2800.00 from Zodiac of America. You can call your local dealer and give them your hull ID number.

I got lucky a few years back on a old Hurricane 380, which had glue on tubes instead of the newer style bolt rope. It cost me $800 for those.

Good luck!
