Sad, but true. My Father's first purchase when he started to work after WWII was a 14' sailboat. We sold his last one after he passed away at age 86 a few years ago. I have had access to a boat of one type or another my entire life. I bought my first inflatable when I was 23. I'd never really thought of that until your comment Pat.

I think I'd best "plead the 5th" on that one... but no complaints here! Being considerably younger than me, she has cautioned that she is just entering her prime! By the time she's out of it, I'll likely be dead!

An optimist is an 80 year old billionaire that is about to marry a 20 year old supermodel, who when warned by his physician that this could be fatal replies;
"No problem, I can always re-marry!"

Ya know Stoo once you have the "disease" as I call it, you never get rid of it. Year after year the call of the water gets me salivating about the coming season, course maybe that grosses the women out, the drooling over the boats, go figure....

I think the biggest mistake "man" ever made, was to name boats after women. It sets up the whole jealousy thing. Before my first wife (aka "Starter Wife") and I were married, I bought a Zodiac MKII C and she bought a little Merc. 25. When I was resisiting the whole marriage thing, she coldly announced that if I didn't marry her, she was going to move out... and take her motor with her! Needless to say, I capitulated...
Many years (and 4 boats) later, after we separated, my best friend (and a fellow RIB owner) made the following comment when I was telling him this story of negotiated marriage: "You stupid ass, you always could have rowed the boat, but she'd have had a hell of a time swimming with the engine". Great advice, just a titch late!
Anyway, this "new improved model" (mostly) understands where she fits into the scheme of things. Besides, I suppose it might be possible for someone to swim with a 25, but there's no way she could do much with a 150!

That may be, but it's when you chain your ex to the 25hp and tell her to swim that things get really serious!

LMAO... That thought did occur to me. By the time we split, we had made it up to a 60, so that would have been... definitive!

Not yet... I think I should have it in by Easter... Although we are thinking of one more ski trip to the Far East (Vermont). It'll depend a bit on their weather too...

-13 C here today with a windchill of -22 C. Spring is just around the corner... we're no longer the dark blue spot on the map.
