Flowcoat is the norm
Being the same resin as the boats built with it seems the natural choice for a topcoat
Very versatile as you can add grains for grip and very hard wearing
No need to strip it right back if you do any repairs later on which will be the case with most paints
Not sure about Canada but in the USA flow coat doesn't seem very popular. More along the lines of various LPU type paints. At least that was my experience as a rookie in all this.
I used a sterling LPU paint, which is not repairable, but now they have paints from EMC that are repairable. Also it's the most expensive stuff on the planet.
