Photoshoot

With most of the Northern States shivering, it was great to get out today and enjoy the Californian sun
Had a gig taking out a local TV news crew, to do a segment on a local Kayak company, who do whalewatching trips.
My RIB was not really big enough for this ,so enlisted the help of my buddy with his Northwind.
The whales evaded us and only caught a quick couple of fluke shots
But at least we ran into a nice pod of dolphin that provided some good footage.

It's tough Ribbing in San Diego

sweet, looks like a good time. Weather is not that nice up this way but its a lot better then what they are dealing with back east lol. Definatly going to be nice enough to take the boat out for a spin.

The Northwind doesn't appear to be much larger than yours, Dal.

Lots of switches, though

Common dolphins? Ran into a pod of them about 300 strong a year and a half ago. Impressive sight.

Northwind

JKY,
about 8ft longer than my rib ,but much better seating capacity. (see them together in last shot)
Seating for 8 comfortably and still room to move around & even a head built into the console.
You step down and are completely enclosed, complete with a folding door.
Also with the 225HP on the back, has the extra power for heavy loads.

The chap that is wearing rather a fancy colored ( note the American spelling for you! ) hat, what does he have on his back. Looks like a back protector or a weird life jacket.

Cheers

Mark,
just one of the neoprene wake board flotation aids. just that it has a smooth shiny finish rather to the standard plush finish we are used to .
Doesnt give quite the flotation a "regular lifejacket does"but looks a touch"sportier" and has a nice setup of storage pockets in the front to keep your bits and pieces in.
