Quicksilver Commander 2000

Working on one of my current projects an older Novurania 12.5 with a 40hp Mariner outboard. The quicksilver commander 2000 wiring harness had been spliced together by former owner. Instead of chasing issues i just replaced it with a new one. Arrived yesterday and i swapped it over today. All seemed well... trim worked, had power, but when i turn the key.... nothing. I am thinking the neutral safety.... it just started pouring so have to wait til tomorrow to troubleshoot. Just looking for ideas... thanks in advance.

Assuming it was flicking over beforehand? Have you played around with the kill cord?

When all else fails try the 2nd key. Brand new unit and one of the keys doesn’t work!
