RIBS in Vancouver Area

Just throwing this out there, how many RIBBERS do we have in the Lower Mainland area? Maybe an opportunity for a meet up and when the weather is better get the boats out.

I'm just north of Seattle but could probably be coaxed up that way if the Lower Mainland locals were getting together on an outing. Where do you typically put in? Do you ever go up Harrison Lake?

Keep me updated please. If you get a few people I would be happy to show you around the factory and the new boats we have under construction, if that is of interest of course.

I'm in.

Great tour at the Hurricane factory last year and would gladly go back.

@Boydo - I keep my boat in english bay in the summer time and put in at Vanier park. I've never taken my boat on Harrison but my last fall trip was boating from Jericho up the Fraser river then up the Pitt River into Pitt Lake. What are your favourite islands around Seattle?

Kerfoo, your Pitt Lake trip sounds like a great one. Last year I was looking at Pitt Lake too, didn't think to go up from Vancouver area. As to my area, I really haven't much bothered with south Puget Sound, I've been too spoiled by BC's waters. A bit further north from me Sucia, Patos, Matia Islands and over to Stuart is very worthwhile. Sucia is great but crowded on summer weekends. Clark Island is worthy and may be less busy with it's more exposed anchorage/beaching (nice sand and gravel beach on east side). Cypress Island to the south is great. Southern half of Lummi Is is nice with a good little bay and small campground on east side. Bellingham has a great boat launch in the harbor or there's another in Fairhaven district good for small boats, good ramp in Anacortes at Washington Park, but it can get backed up. I might have to do a spring weekend trip to Sucia this year.

Currently planning a trip out of Kitimat, a few days in Gardner Canal and then out around from Campania Island. Prevalence of Ursus horribilis in the Kitlope area has me thinking the topper tent setup you created on your boat looks pretty good.

Grady, I'd be all in on a Zodiac factory tour if we can make that happen. Would be good to have at least a couple more folks show an interest -- HELLOOO out there.

Good morning
How would to tour work would it be a evening thing, weekend, or during the day?
And what size of group? Is there a restaurant or pub around the factory we could reserve some space at for pre or post tour?
Thanks

Hi Grady,
It would be a during the day thing. I think up to say 8ish people would be good.
And yes there are a couple of places around here for a post tour lunch.
