Sell up and retire!!!!
You only need about 700K Pounds and proof of income of 700 pounds per month, per adult, to own and live in this little shack. You can even go fishing in your back garden if you do not want to take the bote out. No stupid laws either. The fuel dock is about 1/4 mile away and the cost is less than in the US. Ribeye steak dinner at local rest. about 6 quid and it is free range beef. See ya there; we are going.
Remember life is shorter than you think it is.

It looks quite nice, and the steaks are my favourite, so I can see why your going. My only concern would be what will happen development wise in the next few years.

I have been monitoring the developement issue for about two years. Yes it will happen, but very slowly. Main problem is that the town is small and somewhat difficult to get to. It is still considered a "secret place" by many Americans and Canadians. If you google "San Carlos, Sonora" you will find a bunch more info.

I was in San Carlos when I was 9 years old (late 60's.) Wasn't much there, then.

beautiful...
... and cheap. Best of luck. I just don't have "whatever it takes" to leave the US of A. Maybe Canada. My friend has fished there; fantastic, and great people. Enjoy!

Nice, I was just in Cabo and couple of weeks ago. The weather was awesome. Few weeks before that my wife and I were in Ixtapa-Zihua. It was our first time to Zihua and I feel in love with the city. I wanted to bring my RIB down there.
When I was in Cabo fishing for Marlin there was a 4 meter RIB right with us fishing.
Anywho, my wife's cousin is going back in Feb. I am tempted to go back, but for some reason I am tired of Mexico.
What I am really excited about is my B.C. trip in June!
Have fish, will travel! Some pics of my trip in December....
