Spring returns!

We had a couple of glorious days of boating and diving this weekend! It was mighty cool yet (air/50F, water/36F), with a bit of a breeze, but a perfect day otherwise... There's still bits of ice on the northern exposures, but theres's hope!

1) Yours truly in Tobermory beach-wear, toasting Pathalla as promised!
2) Significant Other/Boat Tender looking professional
3) Wildlife Control Officer prepares to control wildlife
4) Typical Lake Huron shore
5) This water is clear, cold and fresh... that log is about 18' down

That water looks mighty clear. Nice pictures. I am thinking of skipping school and work to go out again today. Should be a balmy 75 here in Chicago. Could be hard driving though. I thought I could stop a 36 ft sail boat yesterday with a single rope and no gloves as it docked too fast. Turned out I was wrong. Man, rope blisters burn!

Wow

Stoo, that sure looks like a beautiful area and the boat looks nice and clean. I wish our water were that prestine. I can't wait to begin our trip up into Canada in August. As Rogan said it is 75 degrees today and sunny. Last night I did a trip to downtown Chicago and back in some pretty nasty lake chop, 4-5 foot multidirectional waves, lots of fun and lots of air . I love spring.

It is beautiful water. Georgian Bay has so little development around it, that it's likely to stay this way too. It's also damn cold. It never really warms up past mid 60s and if it does, it doesn't stay there for more than a week.

I'll post a few more pics in the next weeks. We have some spectacular scenery along the Bruce Peninsula...

Pat, I promise to "hoist one" for you each time I'm out until you're afloat again. Hell, I might even continue after you're afloat!

Thanks Stoo, it is inspiring me as I work like a Mad Scientist in front of my computer soldering some wiring for the boat. Dr Frankenstein was never so determined...
