WTB 15-20ft RIB Eastern US CASH IN HAND

I'm looking to buy a used 15-20ft rib in the north east. I do not mind traveling to pick it up if its the right boat. I was really looking for a 5.4m searider, delta 5.5, or zodiac, however I'm open to all types. My price range is around $5,000- maybe more for something nice. Boat and motor complete, or just the boat. If you know anyone selling, please pass along my email address: j007bmw2@aol.com

Sean

Yea, I had seen that as well. It's close to me and the guy keeps dropping the price, but i've never seen that kind of hull on a rib before. Do you know what kind of rib that is?

Tunnel hull. Some people love em, others not so much.

hull

Never tried that kind of hull.

I don't think that hull shape would lean inside the turns like a "standard" hull would. Maybe good for speed in straight line, but what about handling?

Supposedly, they ride through chop pretty well, and are fairly fast for their size (not a lot of wetted area.) Don't know anything about handling. Also, I'd be a little worried about bashing the top of the tunnel into bigger swell.

But, that's all conjecture. I have no experience with that style.

thanks, I'll post pics shortly. I just picked it up yesterday. I'm cleaning it up, and I'll have to rebuild the carbs before its ready for a cruise. It should be a month or two before its ready to go.

pics soon!
