Heartbroken

Bluestraveller 2 my beloved 23 yr old Patrol is not going to get through the next MOT without major chassis work which isn't going to be cost effective, its a shame cos he's only done 330000 miles

Moving on I'm thinking of etting a Navara 6 speed 2.5 diesel so I'm wondering if anynody has got one and what the fuel consumption is

Ta Stu

That highly unlikely. I have been running the same female for the last twenty years, Mine is very high maintenance and hard to handle due to a very rough ride Mechanically she has a dodgy exhaust and her big end has gone a few times. She does have bucketloads of 'Talk' though: va va voom

I would suggest something much younger and possibly Swedish.

As you love the SR game what with all that gaffer tape an all why not get a nice Land Rover of some sort they go on for ever with a bit of gaffer
Failing that hasn't DM still got one you could swipe his, he would just think he has forgotten where he parked it

We were looking at disco 3's but we have now had the conversation about getting a 4x4 crew cab??? As its safer for carting all our kit to the coast.

Our disco 2 has been asesome and I will be sad to see here go, I would really recommend one

On my phone but

Go for an auto or make sure it's had it dual mass flywheel changed for an old school
One
The early ones were good the later ones are crap on fuel due to immisions etc
Or you need to go for a later 190 bhp face lift model
Mollers and I hammerd my auto down to Italy and saw 30 mpg
Normally get 26-27s but I don't drive like miss daisy

Hmm, don't think we want to go there . Might be tough enough for the Camel Trophy to drive across the Serengeti or through the Amazon, but not for our Stu, trust me. The Hamble slipway has never been the same and the salt water mark when it dried out was just below the windows.

Another adventure - He should/could write a book, be well entertaining.

6 Speed Nissan should give you 33 mpg as an average. Really useful bit of kit when ribbing, I've had two Navarras and all of the land rover range, give me the Nissan every time.

No no no..are you a builder nobber?...it'll drive worse than a LR and you'll be worried about your ribnobber gear being nicked out the back.....

See sense buy something Korean....good mpg, reliable, sensible etc....or get an x5 with a huge petrol engine and pimp it up....(sat in garden with beer and too much sun so ignore me)
