Help! Gearbox/transfer case problems...
I have a rather big problem with my Grand Cherokee auto gearbox... a bang followed by lots of slipping and no movement in reverse - stalls the engine. Wont free wheel in neutral either (transfer box and gearbox), freewheels forward.
Anyone know a good gearbox specialist close to Hull? Only one I ve found wants nearly £2k to fit new box as diagnosed over phone that its the box. Although most of the oil leakage seems to be from the transfer case.
