Just had my Land Rover stolen

One of those never thought it would happen to me moments. This morning, board daylight - Lidl car park in Hastings while we did Christmas food shopping inside. Obviously if anyone sees anything online or locally whatever please let me know, long time Landy nut owned cherished and irreplaceable family vehicle with a lot of time and love gone into it. One of the last 300tdi CSW's.

Pretty distinctive with all glass etched with reg, rear interior all chequer plated etc.

Very sorry to hear that.

It's very easy not to bother putting on the pedal box etc on when you're just leaving it in a seemingly secure car park for five minutes but this just shows how easily and quickly they can go. Shove a screwdriver in the ignition and off they go.

Oh my lord, I don't know what to say. If I lost mine ??? - words fail me.

What does the law say?

Its quite distinctive, you've got to find it before its stripped down.

Hopefully just kids and you'll get it back.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Nightmare. My commiserations and fingers crossed it will be recovered. The culprits will soon discover how much it costs to run and will bring it back.

My wife waves at other LRs (don't ask!) so I will ask her to keep an eye open as we bumble between West and East Sussex.

Its quite distinctive - I can't say I've ever seen an identical one.

Given the number of ANPR cameras around, surely the Police can help?

I've copied this to LRO. Hopefully it'll come back soon in one piece. Please keep updated.
FWIW I had a Reliant Scimitar taken from works car park in the 80s. Found a few days later undamaged.

Thanks guys, really appreciate the help and thoughts. We're doing all we can but no triggers on the ANPR but thanks to FB network it was seen being taken. Towed out by woman in small van, partner in Landy, I kid you not, this is mid morning, tiny Lidl car park and 10 yds from shop windows and tills. Unbelievable. Police are on the case, very impressed but I hold out little hope...

Not surprised. Even for hardened villains with access to balaclavas and high Dernier, face-obscuring tights, avoiding being seen driving Princess Anne's favourite car must have been a challenge.

(Sorry!)

Paintman, meant to say thanks for posting on LRO. If I'm correct you must be the same paint specialist I chatted to on the Difflock forum many years back about painting my ex MOD Ninety. Small world!

No problem & hoping it turns up soon.
Whilst my username is what I do - SMART repairs on caravans & cars - & I do give advice on vehicle painting I suspect that might have been the Paintman (Bill?) who also sells paint for Land Rovers.

Very sorry to say not a sausage, no sightings on cctv or ANPR. Vanished into thin air. Trying to put it behind us this week at least and enjoy Christmas.
