My brand new Navara was recovered back to the garage 11 times in the first 9 months, so I handed the keys back and got a refund! I have had Discoveries since and never been let down.

earlier navara's had a nasty habit of chucking a rod through the block! when i was looking at them a few years back i was amazed at just how many were being sold with new engines fitted. apart from that they drive well, pull like a train and not bad on fuel - well, better on fuel than my trooper!

That was the D22 crap con rod bolts or something, the D40's ate clutches and DM fly wheels

I had to get rid of mine, it was a lottery about what parts would fall off as you were driving along the motorway, and the cost of parts amazed me! They were stupid - like I am sure when I asked for the price for a new gear knob (as the old one had worn away so you couldn't see where R was) it was £90.
The clutch went and that was £1000 to replace.
Didn't like the 4wd system though, as the diffs are always locked (stupid system for 99% of the time)
The final nail was the 4wd light on the dash all the time..
Got something more reliable - A Disco!
